Trip Summary
Great first week back running the skiff full time since last spring.
When the water cools, the back country fires off. Providing a ton of action for all.
There was an absolute load of redfish and trout to be caught but the majority being 15-17.5”. Each day we would have to weed through close to 20 short fish to find a keeper. But with some effort slot fish came after a spot or two. Even a couple fish oversized 27.5”-29” on light spinning tackle are a blast.
Yesterday 1/1/22 we found a nice keeper pompano mixed in with some trout. I excpect fishing to stay consistent until the wind and cold start but with that, we can expect some epic days between the weather.
Lets go fishin!
