Trip Summary
Feel that warm breeze? A little pollen in the air?
That's a sign that the fish are coming! Once we start to see these consistently warm conditions here on land, we're watching the ocean water. The early arrivals will start making their way along our beaches and offshore soon, and we'll be ready.
Beginning in mid-to-late April, the first of the Atlantic bonito, along with bluefish will be running right offshore, while the mahi mahi are starting to spread out from the Gulf Stream. By May, the bite is really turning on as the water temperatures climb toward 70 degrees, and we'll see the king and Spanish mackerel bite turn on in earnest.
Start planning now, and let's get you on the calendar for a great fishing season!
