Big Cold Front!

Trip Summary

This week was a tough week we had a huge cold front push down hard and fast. This caused the waters to get all muddied up and definitely put the fish off the bite for the first half of the week. We made due with what we had on Tuesday's trip and managed to get a few jumping spinner sharks on the big rod. Seeing those things jump is very cool! On Thursday the bite started off slow with some big fish biting in the morning with many break offs and none landed. Later on in the day though we managed to get on a good Spanish mackerel bite and ending up catching 9 different species of fish out in the gulf. On Thursday morning I passed by some Tarpon spots to see if they were there and they are starting to show up. You can already feel the temperature starting to change and get more hot which is perfect conditions for tarpon. Looking forward to what the next few weeks fishing will bring.
