Trip Summary

It started out is a very ugly day when was blowing East 15 to 18 the bar was nasty waves were rough in these elderly guys wanted to go out. I tried to advise them that it was going to be nasty if we need to stay to the inside but this 70 plus gentleman said I can handle anything you can handle so we went out in the ocean. Getting on the ribbon fish and catching a dozen of those after 2 hours of a 6-hour trip I decided to go down and ask him if they would like to go try something new they said yes I said I didn't have any guarantees but we could run 9 miles out and they said let's do it chances of something bigger is worth taking. We got out there trolling around an artificial reef the first hour we were getting our baits just like we wanted them but nothing was fighting then it happened we had a trip long three big gaffer Mahi and the fight was on. The two elderly gentlemen got their mahesian first and the Young Buck took him a while but he did finally get his in and it was the biggest one where I would have really talk junk. Turns out they had a wonderful time they couldn't tell me how much they appreciated it and that they would be back just goes to show just because you get a little gray in can't count you out
