We had some flat seas and the customer mentioned he had always wanted to catch a Barracuda. So we changed plans and headed out a couple miles into the Gulf of Mexico to hit some nearshore wrecks and reefs. Almost immediately we were on the Barracuda with multiple hook ups. After chasing Barracuda we turned our attention to the bottom fishing bite and caught numerous Lane and Mangrove Snapper and some Red Grouper. The big surprise of the day was a school of small Dolphin (which we rarely see only a few miles out) that came into the boat at the end of the trip and we were ablle to hook and land a bunch for the cooler.
