Well summer is flying by! Man it’s mid July already! Shawn scheduled a trip with us while he was camping in the area. What a great day everyone had. We caught spot and perch for bait. Then went live lining. They took home 5 keeper Rockfish and 1 blue fish. We definitely had steady action the whole trip. Well Rockfish season closes tomorrow July 16 till Aug. 1. But don’t worry there’s still plenty of fish around. We are bottom fishing for Spot and perch. With an occasional other species being caught also. We are trolling for bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. We are also light tackle casting and jigging for Bluefish and mackerel also while chasing breakers. We also are prowling the shallows for speckled trout. There are a some around when conditions are right. We leave from different locations depending on your technique you want to try. We offer half day and full day trips. Send us a message so we can tailor a trip to your liking.

Fall angling Chesapeake style!
November 6, 2022
Well it’s November and the weather is changing. Taking a couple days off for fall camping. But then we’ll be back at it. Cooler weather is coming in this weekend. We have been finding some nice fish shallow in low light conditions at times. Then we switch to deeper water. Where trolling and casting and jigging has been producing some nice Rockfish. There are really fattening up for winter. We usually get some big ocean fish showing up about this time of year also. It’s never a given but there is always a chance. This is 1 of the best times of year to catch Striped bass. With the cooler water temps it makes it great for catch and release (if that’s your choice). We have dates available give us a call to get on the books before 2022 is over. We fish till mid December. When it’s bitter out I put the canvas enclosure up and turn on the buddy heater. Locations vary according to were the best fishing is.Continue reading
Ugh Rain and Wind
September 28, 2022
Well its day 5 of wind and rain here on the Chesapeake Bay. It will be over soon and guess what? It's Rocktober! October on the Chesapeake Bay is when our migratory species usually exit and the fall run of Rockfish begins. With the cooling waters we will be looking for fish shallow at first light. Then we switch to chasing birds and working river mouths! It's an exciting time of year for sure. Don't miss out we still have some dates available.Continue reading
Seasons change but fishing remains!
September 5, 2022
Wow summer sure has flown by. Kids are back to school, football season, cooler nights, and soon cooler days. Well that doesn't stop us! Fall is an excellent fishing season on the Chesapeake. I am just returning from a little RNR trip my self. Now back at it. There are some spanish mackerel and blue fish around. They can be caught trolling or casting and jigging. The rockfish bite is starting to go in a fall pattern. They can be caught shallow in the low light conditions casting lures to structure. As the day goes on they go deeper. They then can be caught jigging or running and gunning chasing breakers. Still some speckled trout around. There are a few here and there in the shallows, but that should pick up again before the water cools to much. Still plenty of spot and perch around for bottom fishing. Every once in a while there are some legal croakers mixed in. I have seen some small flounder also but no keeper size ones yet. That could happen tho. The new Suzuki outboard is amazing. I really love it. As always the boat is on a trailer so we move around a lot when needed. We offer charters from many different locations. Once you book a trip I will custom tailor it to you. Don’t miss out.Continue reading
