Joe, Jay and son Zack are in from Northern Illinois for day 1 on Lake Erie. Unfortunately Jay and Joe's father was unable to make it this time. Their father Joe was with us in spirit and in our thoughts. They opted for a drift troll combo, we started the day casting at spot 1 and only pulled short Eyes. So we made a big move and it paid off...until the wind completely died. We had 12 of their fish and decided it was time for the learning portion of trolling with little boards and dipseys. They did awesome managing the rods and the fish were active. We had a lot of 14 to 15 inches that had to go back. Dipseys 3 setting 36 back FJ 7s TruTrip 50s 27 back with Yaleye Minnow. Flicker Minnows 80 back assisted and unassisted. Speed 2.4 mph. We started in light drizzle, so no sunrise pic today.
