Couldn't fish the open, deeper areas we've fished lately due to gusty winds and choppy water. Moved back into the creeks which, surprisingly for this time of year, didn't hold many fish . Fourteen crappie were taken, but only 5 were keepers; however, the two largest were just short of 14 inches.

The Chickamauga crappie bite was slow and steady during the clouds and drizzle, but came to an abrupt halt once the sun came out. A total of 22 with 16 nice keepers were caught both spider rigging and trolling 10-15 foot depths in 18-22 FOW.

The Chickamauga crappie bite was steady in the fog which lasted until about 1030 this morning. We kept 23, released six shorts, and lost 7 more nice keepers on the surface before one of my client's got used to handling the spider rigs. Surface water temps were 66-68 and fish were suspended at 10-15 feet in 18-22 FOW.
