We started at 7a.m. The weather was a bit windy. We decided to go directly to a FAD where we caught some mahimahi 2 days before but no fishes on that spot. We moved to deeper waters where we spotted a big flock of birds. It was a school of skipjacks. We went few times in the school hooking 3 to 4 big skipjacks at the same time. Later on we also caught smaller size skipjacks that we used as live bait. No success with live bait. We continued with artificial lures. We were back with 7 skipjacks of 28..30 pounds and 6 of 7 to 12 pounds.

Not long after putting the lines out we headed to a FAD where we started catching some fishes. There were some boats already in the area. We caught about 6 doradoes and 2 tunny. We lost a sailfish and came back at noon with some nice fishes for dinner

We were out for a full day fishing trip. Knowing that marlins are bitting far out during these last days we headed to deep waters. We went though some schools of tuna and saw schools of bonitoes on the way but no bite. At about 2hrs from shore we saw big schools of skipjacks. We hooked 4 and caught two of them. Not long after a marlin came at the back chasing the lures. The fish was on. We had a nice fight and caught a marlin. We set the lure back. Not long after a bite on the long corner ..then nothing. The fish came again on the long rigger...bang the elastic attaching the line to the Outrigger broke... we could hear the reel singing and could see a splendid blue marlin dancing on it's tail at the back. We started the fight. We managed to catch the fish and were back in the lagoon with some good fish to end this month.
