Summer has been fun but im ready for some cooler weather. The mahi are still around in numbers come October, it can be a decent month for mahi action offshore, if that’s something you want to do I suggest selecting 6 hours or 8hours. Mahi are pelegic fish so they constantly moving sometimes we can catch them closer to the reef vs running 10 miles offshore looking for these beautiful green fish. We also do deep dropping for golden tile fish, black belly rose fish, snowy groupers and warsaw groupers when 10 miles offshore. Thats always a backup plan if we cant find any mahi mahi. October can be a really good month for catching everyones bucket list fish The Sailfish. We like to catch live ballyhoos and target sailfish on the reef in these next couple months.
