Trip Summary

With a cold front pushing through thw kingfish didnt waste a minute eating everything they saw. Then went to a rockpile not far away for some hogfish. Nearshore fishing this time of year is one of my favorite things and on calm days can be a great way to break away from the crowds.

Tarpon annually migrate through the tampa bay area starting in april and ending around september. As the season continues, we come into some of my personal favorite months for targeting these beastly fish. The tarpon have been moving into the bay near flat edges and rock piles.
