With cooler than normal weather, less vistors, and more time and money being spent on family, this is a slow time of year for charters. That does not mean it is a slow time for fishing. The speckled trout fishing has been excellent over the last few weeks with lots and lots of fish over 20 inches and even the pictured fish at 29 inches which is my new personal best. Low and slow is the name of the game this time of year with baits like the 17mr from Mirrolure really earning their place in my arsenal.
