Puget Sound Area 10 is open for Resident Silver Salmon and the fishing has been fantastic! These coho spend their entire (short) lives in the Puget Sound and eat krill, so their meat is as red as you can find in any salmon! Even though these fish average around 5lbs they are our favorite eating salmon! Sunday we headed out of Shilshole early on a beautiful morning. We made the short run to the fishing grounds and started trolling. Action was quick and we had our 6th fish in the cooler just after 7am! Made for a great quick morning, and these fish will be around in good numbers through the end of June or beginning of July at least. These trips are great for the whole family and weather will continually be getting better.
