Our fishing adventure in Cabo San Lucas today was nothing short of spectacular, as we embarked on a quest to target the dazzling Mahi-Mahi, also known as Dorado. The day was filled with excitement, and we managed to land an impressive total of 6 Mahi-Mahi using a combination of lures, live bait, and dead bait. The Catch: . First Strike - Success Our day began with an early morning start as we ventured offshore in search of Mahi-Mahi. The initial hit came as we used dead bait, with a vibrant mix of small lures as our offering. The Mahi couldn't resist. We got our first hookup It put up a good fight, giving us an exhilarating start to the day. . Lure Magic As the sun climbed higher, we decided to switch lures. The vibrant colors of our lures and their enticing wobble attracted a Mahi-Mahi, and the rod tip started dancing. After an intense battle, we successfully landed a stunning 15-pound Dorado. The lure action proved effective, and we continued to employ this method throughout the day. . Dead Bait Delight We continued to use dead bait, and it didn't take long for the Mahi to respond. We placed a well-prepared spread of dead trevally and google eyes behind the boat. The distinctive yellow and green shades of the Mahi's coloring lit up as they darted towards our dead bait spread. The success was immediate, as we caught two large Mahi-Mahi. Their acrobatic jumps and vibrant hues were a sight to behold. Our day of fishing in Cabo San Lucas was a true Mahi-Mahi extravaganza. The Mahi were biting, and we had an absolute blast. In total, we caught 6 Mahi-Mahi, ranging from 5 to 22 pounds, using a combination of live bait, lures, and dead bait. The colorful and acrobatic nature of these fish never ceases to amaze us, making this trip a memorable experience. Cabo San Lucas continues to be a top destination for Mahi-Mahi fishing, and we can't wait to return for more thrilling adventures on these bountiful waters.
