Trip Summary
Hey anglers, I just love this time of year. Cooler weather, holidays, and of course fall fishing! It's been an absolute blast on the water this last month.
Trout are in full force on the flats and nothing beats watching those popping corks dunk under the water. My go to bait all month has been C & M Custom Baits Granny Smith paddle tails. (You can find his shop on etsy) 3-5 feet has been a good mine for me on most of the flats I've been drifting.
Reds and snook are staged up on the keys around most of the structure and a knocker rig with your cut bait of choice should get the job done. Look for bait in the area and feeding birds aren't a bad sign either. I use a 5/0- 6/0 circle hook usually paired with atleast 1/2 once egg weight and I've had the best luck on cut mullet and ladyfish.
Well y'all I hope this helps everyone out.
Until next month, stay safe out there!
