The weather finally broke and we were able to catch some fish! Lots of croakers and a couple of de ent sharks on light takle made for a busy morning!

What a fantastic late fall charter at Ft Fisher with Kraig and Carson, marked by a constant supply of 1 to 3.5 lb bluefish that kept us so engaged we didn't even feel the cold! We did get a visit from the tax man but not the one you'd expect. An Osprey tried to rob Carson of a chunky Bluefish...Carson prevailed ! See the video!

Chris and Tim from Durham, NC, packed the cooler today at Ft Fisher. The day started with a reminder of a solemn promise as a rainbow arched across the sky! Booking an all-day charter allowed us to fish both tide cycles and read the beach under changing conditions. While blues caught on cut mullet using Coastal Life Outfitters custom tied bluefish rigs carried the high tide, a couple of nice sea mullet ended the day on the low tide side. Chris increased his casting distance and accuracy throughout the day after a casting lesson. Thank you to 1st Mate Barrett today for helping to set up, tear down, keeping rods freshly baited and assisting with casting and landing a bunch of fish! The weather was beautiful, although an offshore shower gave us a show with a heavy downpour and possible waterspout. Thank you Chris and Tim for booking with Coastal Life Outfitters!
