Trip Summary
Left the dock at 630 am for this mornings charter. We set up into a troll looking to cover some water and find active fish. Rainbows and lakers were our target species and we found both. Short lead cores, riggers, and divers all contributed to our catch. Our rainbows were quite large, 24-28 inches respectively. Our lakers were average size and plentiful. It wasnt hot and heavy but we had our box by 10am and the guys were ready to head in. Things are still setting up on cayuga for the springtime troll bite. The fish are currently scattered, soon the bait will push up into the shallows and the bite will get very good. The rainbow fishing will continue to improve over the next few weeks as the fish get back into their normal spring pattern after the spawn.
