I'm so glad that Greg and Dex booked an afternoon trip to Ft Fisher on Tuesday, June 4! We fished a couple of different spots and caught fish at each place. Croakers, Spot, and Sea Mullet were chewing on shrimp backed with Sandflea Fishbites. Dex caught the first fish and became the self-appointed Fish Handler and skillfully unhooked the all the fish and released them back to the sea! In between bites, Dex worked on his casting skills by slinging some metal lures. By the time he had finished, he was throwing Stingsilvers an impressive distance. I love seeing young people get excited about fishing! While we fished, I shared some beach reading and other surf fishing tips with Greg. Before the day was done, we had landed quite a few fish, Dex became an excellent caster, and a Dad and son made memories they both will never forget! And, for a few hours, I got to experience fishing thru the expectation and excitement of a10yr old! There are still prime days available this month. Book a trip and take the family fishing!
