Trip Summary
Tim and his sons Brendan and Wesley joined us today for some "Pomp and Circumstances" at Fort Fisher. The "Pomp" being a nice pompano, the "Circumstances" being more than enough blue fish to round out a dinner and a
Big Biter. The action started with a big tug and a bite off early on. After re-rigging, another big one started taking line. A 15 - TO 20-minute fight ensued with Brendan coming out the winner with a 50-plus inch black tip shark. Brendan did a great job playing it through the waves like a pro! The shark was released in great shape and swam away strong! With high tide approaching, the blues bite turned on, and in the course of an hour, Tim, Wesley, and Brendan secured dinner while releasing quite a few. Brendan closed out the day with a 1lb Pompano. A great day following several days of big water and windy conditions! Thank you, Tim, Wesley, and Brendan, for choosing to spend the day with Coastal Life Outfitters!
