Even during the dog days of summer, we always manage to wrangle up a nice variety of North Georgia species including spotted bass, hybrid striped bass, striped bass, catfish, gar and crappie. The bite has definitely slowed down coming into these first couple weeks of August and the 30 to 60 fish mornings are definitely much rarer. Our best hours are still from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. with a pretty solid bite using fresh threadfin shad and blue back herring caught the day of your trip.
