Trip Summary

Today I fished Stan Pierce and Jeremy Granger down from Cortland, N.Y. Mixing it up fishing with live greenies and shrimp we had a few nice snook, a few black drum along with a bonnethead shark. These guys have a busy day planned with a wedding to attend after fishing at 5pm.

Fished this morning with Fred Hepper from Bernardsville, N.J and Mark Johnson from Vero Beach again on our first snook trip of the season. These guys fished with me a few weeks ago catching 3 nice tripletail. Today while livebaiting with greenies they went 3 for 3 on snook keeping one in the 28-32 " slot.

As we head into springtime, the tripletail bite along the Treasure Coast picks up nicely. In the past month we have caught some decent size tripletail on our half and 3/4 day trips. This bite only gets better as we head into the summer months.

As we approach the new year, look for our winter species to arrive. Pompano, Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish will be around December thru April. Also the sheepshead, flounder, croaker, whiting, tripletail and black drum bite picks up this time of year.
