Congrats to this crew of gents for landing this beautiful blue marlin on an extended morning fish. We're so stoked for you guys and glad to have split up all the fillet! There's been a ton of marlin around this season and we're so stoked that you got yours. I know the live baiting was tough, but at the end patience paid off!

These double barred goat fish are a prized catch here in Hawaii! Not just for their illusive nature, but more so for the dinner table. Very rarely does it happen, but we have hooked up to a double, both in the net! Though they were of legal size, we decided to toss them back in to grow a bit bigger! Great job team!

One of the best things about bottom-fishing is your inability to know what's going on in the depths below. In this instance we were working a pile of Yellow Snapper and small goat fish. Based on the final picture, we know that we got really lucky. We believe we hooked a small goat fish on this rod. As we brought it off the bottom, the pole doubled over and started peeling line! As we fought we could see a beautiful flash 50 ft down. As the fished surfaced we saw a tiny hook buried in the corner of it's mouth. A beautiful and rare Kagami (african pompano)!
