Trip Summary

This was a BIG fish kinda day. We dropped down to do some bottom fishing off the coast of Cape Coral, FL. Looking for snapper, we heard the line take off and knew instantly that this was NOT a snapper. We fought the fish for a while until we were able to land it. We released her and went back to snapper fishing, with big smiles all around!

June in Naples brings hot temperatures and scattered thunderstorms. Despite the heat, fishing remains productive, especially during early mornings and late evenings. Water clarity is excellent, providing ideal conditions for sight fishing. Permit: Large schools of Permit are active offshore, offering excellent opportunities for anglers. • Cobia: A few Cobia have been spotted offshore, often encountered while targeting Permit. • Grouper & Snapper: Offshore wrecks are producing Grouper and Mangrove Snappers, providing both sport and table fare.
