Conditions seemed good, reports of tuna schools in the area were verified and we set out starting around 14 miles offshore eventually enddesnup going 20 miles. We managed to hook 5 but landed only 3. Tunas were of ~20kg

Calm seas and good fishing

We had a good day of fishing with mostly groupers and highlights of the day trip an almaco jack and a red emperor fish among several other species. The weather was nice and the seas calm making the trip a delightful experience. Light jigging is an excellent method as it produces great catches yet is easy on new anglers as we fish depths from 40m and deeper. Working the jigs at these depths is fairly easy.
