**Reel Rich Fishing Charter - Punta Gorda, Florida - Fishing Report for the Week Ending January 5, 2025** This week, Captain Rich experienced some of the best fishing Charlotte Harbor has seen in months. We've had a varied itinerary, with some clients choosing our Redfish/Sheepshead Special and others going for the Captain's Choice. **Redfish/Sheepshead Special:** The Redfish bite has been outstanding, reminiscent of the October run. Sheepshead have been plentiful, adding to the excitement. Notably, Ian from Canada caught his first redfish ever, a hefty 32-inch, 14-pound specimen. Most of the redfish caught were at the upper end of the slot limit. **Captain's Choice:** Focusing on Sea Trout, we've had incredible success, with many charters exceeding 100 fish per day. Spanish Mackerel are still around, along with ladyfish and a scattering of bluefish.
