Trip Summary

Fishing the last few weeks has been incredible! Great family trips with tons of action and lots of big fish. January is excellent for kingfish, snapper, sailfish, and mackerel. Live bait and light tackle are a deadly combination fishing the nearshore waters off Miami beach. Its not uncommon to catch a half dozen different species and mix in some big sea monsters.

The last few trips have produced some monster mutton snapper. Along with the snapper we’ve also had sailfish, blackfin tuna, mahi mahi and african pompano. Snook fishing inshore has also been really good.

Action packed half days with kids and their dads have been what i’ve been up to lately. These trips typically start with lots of live bait to get the fish fired up. Live bait is included on all my trips. Once you get them fired up you can expect to catch king mackerel, red grouper, yellowtail snapper, giant sharks, Spanish mackerel, bonito, and a handful of other species. Inshore snook and tarpon have also been very cooperative.
