Trip Summary
Early Spring fishing is about finding the right conditions for the bite. With the water still cool from our short winter, the fish can be a little finicky. If you book I will make suggestions about what time is best to go. So don't be thrown off by the automated start times found in the listing. The morning trip May well start at 10:00 a.m. and the afternoon at 2:00, it just depends on what the tide and forecast is for the day that you choose. Having said that we've been able to pick off a good number of quality fish on every trip recently. Redfish, black drum, and sheepshead have been the most common targets for us. I've been using shrimp, minnows, and cut bait most often. Though spoons and plastics are always on deck should the situation arise that's right to use those. We've been having the most success by fishing slow as opposed to trying to entice a bite by fast erratic movements. The water temperature tends the fluctuate quite a bit this time of year so every trip has been a little different. Keep in mind we may have to move around a lot not just to find fish, but to find the cooperative ones. However that's for me to worry about and not you. Go ahead and book a slot and I'll get you out there and we'll go on the hunt together.
