We area finally out of what I believe to be the last cold snap. Water temps are in the 70’s and it has the fish moving. While it may seem that every trip is a success, it really hasn’t been that way. Just six days ago it was 39 degrees in the morning. We have had stable temps the last week and it has made the fishing a little more predictable. Afternoons seem to be the best lately, especially with a south wind. Hope this helps and look forward to getting you guys out there!

We are now in the full swing of summer! The temperature can attest to it. While the fishing has been challenging, we are making the best of it. On my GPS fish finder I recorded surface level temperatures at 90.4 degrees this week. Thats hot, and basically bath water temps. With all that being said, we are still locating solid fish, it just takes a little more patience and covering a lot more water than usual. We have been hitting shaded docks, deeper creeks and river mouths and getting on them early to combat the heat. The fish are like us humans, by about 10am its pretty hot and they are looking for shade and cooler waters. The late afternoon bite and early mornings are where its at. 7-10am and about 3-7pm have been the best times for fishing. Hope to see you guys out there. Tight lines!! Capt. Quinn

The bite has been pretty good this past week as far as catching redfish goes. The only caveat, is that the majority have been either too big or too small. It is good seing a lot juvenile redfish active in the bay! As long as we don’t get a ton of wind and rain, I see the bite staying pretty good for the next couple of weeks.
