Trip Summary
We are now in the full swing of summer! The temperature can attest to it. While the fishing has been challenging, we are making the best of it. On my GPS fish finder I recorded surface level temperatures at 90.4 degrees this week. Thats hot, and basically bath water temps. With all that being said, we are still locating solid fish, it just takes a little more patience and covering a lot more water than usual. We have been hitting shaded docks, deeper creeks and river mouths and getting on them early to combat the heat. The fish are like us humans, by about 10am its pretty hot and they are looking for shade and cooler waters. The late afternoon bite and early mornings are where its at. 7-10am and about 3-7pm have been the best times for fishing. Hope to see you guys out there. Tight lines!!
