Trip Summary

We sat down once finding protection from the wind. Caught trout with a few making the box. Kept drifting and then found an area that seemed to be worthy of fishing. Within an hour or so we landed 4 quality drum with one being hybridized to a red fish… one heck of a day for Masons 13th birthday!!

20mph winds… ~40mph gust ?… windy windy! We caught fish all day with an amazing crew that was down for it. Lots of small fish with some great ones like the 9lb (boga) 26.5in redfish for the grease with 9 species to fulfill the day.

Wind swapped HARD around 8am which made fishing tougher. This switch churned up the water making it muddy and as result the bites were partial (not grabbing hook). Even with that said the wind was so strong that the anchors couldnt hold. Very tough but we continued fishing with artificial baits and Ms Avery hooked/fought this big girl. Fish released to spawn/fight another day
