Trip Summary
Trip Summary
The fishing is still good but you can definitely tell the fish are starting to feel the warm weather. Although fish can still be caught all day. I would say there is a significant difference made by going in the morning.
The flounder have also shown up in suprising numbers. On this trip we actually caught more flounder than any other fish which is very rare. We caughtaround 7-8 flounder. Most came on ome spot. The key was a float with long leader to droft a mud minnow along the rocks.
Along with this, we also caught some redfish and a trout fishing artificial shrimp along some oyster bars through out the day.
This was an afternoon trip. As it continues to warm, I will start recommending more and more trips at first light assuming the tide sets up for it.
The next couple of months I expect my morning trips to pose very good fishing.
