After a non-stop summer, I've enjoyed some much needed R and R the past couple of weeks. The MightyMako also took a break and got some pampering and TLC prior to the oncoming fall season. Looking forward to cooler weather and some great fishing escapades.

While sharks of various sizes still dominate our area waters, we have gotten a few surprises over the past couple of weeks. Between storm and rain events this month, we've managed to keep the rods bending, and the smiles continue.

80 degree water temps means the Sharks are here for the foreseeable future. Big ones, little ones, inshore and nearshore and all points in between. Luckily we have been able to take breaks from them by catching Spanish Mackerel during the high tides, as well as a few Jack's. The Bull Reds have been harder to come by the past few weeks and I'm not holding my breath that we'll be seeing much of em over the next few months. Oh well, there's always the Fall for them.
