I’m here in Mexico to get married. Brought the fellas out for a day trip and we had a great time. There’s lots of room on this boat and we needed it. There’s was 8 of us and we were comfortable.

The food prepared was delicious and I really appreciated the work the Captain and crew put in on our behalf. The Captain put us on some fish and made the day a success.

If I come back to Mexico I will be booking this charter again. Thanks!!!

Let me say that Debby and her crew are amazing and organized beyond belief! She communicated promptly every single time I messaged before our trip, and I drove her crazy to make sure we had every we needed because we had a group of 11 with young kids! Myself and my middle son got sick about 5 minutes into the trip and I had to ask them to take us back to the dock. They never complained once!! When they went back out, they caught a white Marlin, a beautiful sailfish, and a wahoo! An absolutely great time, even with a few seasick passengers by the end of the trip. I would recommend them to anyone who comes to Akumal, Playa or Tulum for a trip. We have been offshore fishing tons of times and they rose up and dominated above the rest. Thank you again for everything, and I’m sorry me and my young babies couldn’t hang today!!

Don’t know where to start straight out the gate my wife and i both landed a bull mahi along with some bonito and a spanish mackerel the crew was constantly working making sure there were always fresh bait on the line and in the water the experience capt debby has is second to none she knows what she’s doing and runs a very tight crew we even managed to land a white marlin despite the weather gradually getting worse throughout our day if you are an avid fisherman and expecting a fair opportunity your best bet is this boat hands down i will be returning in the future

Great experience! We left at 8 am and we had a slow start, after all, the fishing Gods were probably sleeping. But once the fish starting hitting, they hit! We had 3 lines going at once! We even pulled in a 4-5 foot King Fish that took 20 min to get in! All in all, we all had a blast, the crew was great, the boat was clean and we will all be back for another round!

Can’t say enough about the professionalism of the team at Poverty Sucks Fishing! Debby is EXTREMELY responsive when booking and throughout the entire process all the way to stepping on her boat! The team on the boat want to catch fish as bad as you and you see it in how hard they work to get it done. We went out on a day that nobody was hooking up as they indicated to us passing by on the way back to the marina, but we were able to hook up with a decent mahi and great fighting White Marlin! If you’re looking for a great boat to take out with family and friends I highly recommend Poverty Sucks!
