Perfect weather, great boat & fishing equipment, Friendly & extremely helpful Captain. Great day on the water fishing different spots & landing 10 different species of fish including the beautiful coral trout our daughter caught. Captain Shawry cleaned & filleted the few fish we decided to keep & gave great instructions on how to cook our catch. Would highly recommend Hook Up Charter for a fun day of fishing. We took a 4hr private charter with Shawry, and we had a great time catching fish and learning all about the area and the species up this way.  He took us to a few different areas and we were lucky to catch a few different species… and overall we just had an awesome time out on the water with him and chatting to him.  Great Aussie guy, and so friendly!  Cant wait to come to Port Doug again and come out on the new boat.  Thanks Shawry and the Hook Up Charters team!

We had a great day out on a 3/4 private charter. Shawry was fantastic and shared his knowledge with us. We caught 7 good sized crabs and 2 good fish. We all had plenty of good bites but were not good enough to get them in the boat. I would highly recommend this charter due to his knowledge of the area. My son has not stopped taking about the day. I would also like to thank his wife for the fantastic communication prior to the trip. We will certainly be back next year to fish with Shawry.

I had a great day out with Shawry on the river fishing for a variety of species. My dream was to tick a Barra off my species list. I wanted to catch the Barra on a lure and I caught a Barra in the morning. We had great fun catching many other species in the arvo and Shawry is great for a chat. He has great knowledge of the river and area. An added bonus was spoting a few crocs in their natural habitat. I’ll definitely be booking with him when I’m up north again. 👍👍👍
