Our day started a little rocky due to crazy weather but Capt Rudy tried so hard to get fish on our hooks. He takes great pride with every customer. He will work very hard to make sure you are happy with your experience.

Rudy is a people person and great with kids. He definitely made our day. My son walked away with a 36 inch 15 lb King Mackerel, 2 Bonita Tunas, and other fish.

Was a great morning fishing out on the ocean with my son and father-in-law. Caught about 20 fish. Good action. Great Captain and Mate. Would recommend.

We went out 2 separate days with Papa Bear Charters out of Palm Beach, Florida. Captain Rudi and his mate, grandson, Ian are a great team and very accommodating and took us to several productive spots to bottom fish reefs near shore one day and on the inland coastal water way another day. We had a very nice time and caught a good variety of fish including porgy,  lane snapper, yellow tail snapper, and Mahi-Mahi. We would definitely go out with them again.

Rudy and Mike were friendly, kind, helpful, and had great knowledge. I finally was able to make this trip happen with the help and flexibility of Capt. Rudy. I had booked a trip in March just before the pandemic shut us completely down, so Christmas came around, and I was able to rebook.

The trip as a whole was terrific. Rudy was a great communicator from start to finish. His expertise was helpful and guiding without ever feeling like I had no idea what I was doing. We hooked and fought many fish during our 4 hours. It was also the most beautiful weather on a Florida winter day to be out in the boat. We did get sharked a couple of times, but it was a fun day on the water. I would recommend Capt. Rudy and “Papa Bear’s Fishing Charter” to anyone looking for a fun and affordable experience on the beautiful blue waters of sunny South Florida.

Let me start out by saying that I was impressed from the start with Captain Rudy’s communications. He reached out very shortly after I booked the trip to see what type of fishing we were looking to do. We discussed several options and he could not have been more helpful meeting our wishes.
I also changed the fishing date twice after booking it after looking at weather forecasts. Rudy had no problem moving the trip to a day that had better weather predicted.
Today he was waiting for us on the dock when we arrived and our day started out right on time.
He worked endlessly to ensure we had a great experience. My wife checked off one of her bucket list items when she caught a sailfish about an hour into the trip. I handled it quite well that her sailfish was about twice the kingfish that I caught.
Rudy is also a paramedic and although that it’s unlikely that a medical emergency would occur on a day charter, it’s nice to have a professional first responder in charge.
We charter fishing trips all over the world and none yet has exceeded Rudy’s eagerness to please and professional fishing knowledge.
