We had an awesome time with Nikolai. Started the day by immediately hooking into a frenzy of Mahi Mahi. Next, found ourselves on an exclusive beach at a little cafe, eating the freshest of fish tacos. We ended the day snorkeling in caves, diving with all kinds of beautiful fish. Can’t beat it.

Gabriel was a really cool guy who knows a TON about fishing in Puerto Vallarta.  Our only complaint was only being able to book a 4 hour time slot (our time restriction, not his).  Wish we could have done 8 hours for some bigger game.  Still, the first hour or so we hardly got a bite and Gabriel suggested we try some other tactics and boom, the fish started hitting like crazy.  We caught 10 and lost 3 on top of that.  When we caught our fill we went to the water caves and did a bit of snorkeling.  To finish up, Gabriel knows the owners of a restaurant right by the pier and they grilled up the fish for lunch.  Seriously, I don’t know how that place makes any money.  They grilled up 4 plates of fish, two rounds of margaritas for 3 people, and chips with salsa and guacamole for $28.  That was a steal and delicious.  Fishing with Gabriel was well worth the price and the highlight of our Mexican Riviera Cruise.

Capt. Gabriel allowed my girlfriend and I to spend a day on the water our way. Early morning fishing for me in the morning, with some success I might add! Two decent jack cravelles. Tough little buggers! Then my girlfriends turn. Shrimp and lobster lunch in Yelapa. Quick and delicious. Next, horseback to cool waterfall in Animas. I’m totally allergic to horses my sacrifice was worth the experience however , and Amber was stoked. On the way back we spent a few minutes feeding bread to some amazing queen angelfish ( I think) around a protected bird sanctuary in Los Arcos amidst rock island pinnacles sticking out of the ocean with carved arches cut right through them over several thousand years. Finally heading back after a fun filled relaxing day, mayhem hit when we spotted birds collecting and smashing bait balls in the distance, Skipjack tuna attacking the bait balls in every direction, foamers right next to the boat. All the 5 to 8 pounders you wanted. Nice way to end the day! Oh and did I mention we saw dolphins several times, 2 turtles, and a whale!  Thanks Gabriel!

We went as a family and Gabriel and Enrique were so accommodating! They went to all the fishing areas, and spoke to other boats as well, unfortunately no fish were caught by us or anyone that we came across. It just wasn’t meant to be for that day, but it was excellent anyway. My daughter had 3 bites, and husband was just happy being on a boat ‘trying to catch’, we all enjoyed Gabriel’s knowledge of the area and sharing information with us. I unfortunately became sea sick, and immediately they took me to a safe, wonderful little beach where I could get my land legs back, and my family could continue fishing. After a couple of hours they came back for me and we had lunch and then even though not much time was left, they fulfilled our request to go to the waterfalls on horseback. We came back to the marina late, but Gabriel was very gracious and said no worries, you are on vacation you should have fun! The entire day was a success by all of our standards- and we are hard to please….you can tell they take pride in what they do, they continued to keep the boat clean, they were friendly and kind and you could just feel the passion for what they do. I would recommend them to everyone I know!!! My husband wants to come back during a busier fishing season to try again but ONLY if he can be with Gabriel and his boat!.

Jerry was awesome - informative & fun!  The flippers could’ve been better, but everything else is very good.
