Super Panga Tres Estrellas

Los Muertos Pier Puerto Vallar…
Puerto Vallarta JA, Mexico

Super Panga is a 27’ central console panga, powered by a single 100HP four-stroke Yamaha engine, able to accommodate up to 6 passengers. The vessel is outfitted with a live bait tank and tuna tubes, as well as an ice chest. The Super Panga team will provide you with all the necessary tackle (mainly Penn International) that you’ll need to fight some of the world’s most sought-after pelagics. There are outriggers on board as well, to ensure as much ground is covered as possible.

The bilingual crew of Super Panga Tres Estrellas wants to catch fish as much as their guests do. Captain Gabriel has over 20 years of experience fishing the prolific waters of Puerto Vallarta: he fishes the Banderas Bay as well as the productive offshore grounds, targeting Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Snapper, and many others.

The waters of Puerto Vallarta are abundant with game fish virtually all year round. Although there may be distinct fishing seasons when it comes to certain species, what many say sets Puerto Vallarta apart from other big game hotspots is that catching fish is a possibility regardless of when you might be visiting.

The Super Panga team is readily available to customize your day on the water any which way you’d like. For family outings, a combination of fishing and snorkeling is recommended, followed by, if you’d like, taking a break on one of the crew’s favorite beaches along the way. The excursions in Puerto Vallarta are also often about more than just fishing - the scenery is beautiful, with regular whale and various bird sightings. The seabed, on the other hand, is filled with starfish and sea urchins, making Puerto Vallarta a popular destination for snorkeling enthusiasts as well.

It was a great time out on the water. We tried for some roosterfish and some red snapper. All we caught was a good size red snapper. The whole experience was great and we e en had the chance to see dolphins and a few schools of manta rays.

Although we didn’t catch anything, the trip was still fun. No fault of the captain and crew that the fish weren’t biting. You just have some of those days. We still saw huge schools of dolphins and many sea turtles along with an enormous manta ray. Pretty cool trip.

First time I’ve ever had a captain call me an as**ole. We caught two bill fish - decent for 10 hrs. First one hooked in gut. Second one, standard, I told the captain to release it 3 separate times. He ignored me and clubs it. I called him out - things got tense - real tense. He just wanted to sell it at the dock. Ride home was awkward. He also hit a turtle with the boat. Idiot.

In addition to all this he swears about every third word. Not that I care but it’s nice to know if you’re thinking about getting on a boat with this bandejo for several hours.

FYI all “super pangas” are run by the same crew.
