Our Captain was Travis. He had just relocated to Gulf Shores 4 days prior to our trip. He was a good guide and obviously experienced. His boat did not have a trolling motor on it. We used an anchor and due to waves and rollers my partner was the first mate handling the anchor, the Captain had to manage the boat motor. We managed to catch some fish but not what we could have had we had a trolling motor with spot lock.
Hi Tommy, Iโm very sorry that your buddy had to throw the anchor. We have a trolling motor that is going to be put on the boat on Friday. Trolling motors have alot of issues, we just got it back from the shop not to long and thatโs why itโs not on the boat. We are doing the best we can so that everyone can enjoy their fishing trips. New captians have to learn and we are grateful for you guys helping out. I know you guys caught a good bit of fish. We are working to fix the and will be fixed on Friday!.
