We got to the marina at our assigned time. We opted to pay a little extra and go on the bigger boat. I was glad we did as being my first time in the ocean like that, I was a little nervous. The smaller boat would have been fine, but I did like the bigger one. Aldo was our Captain and he was awesome! My husband caught a skipjack, I believe, right off the get go. Then it died right off. We were becoming a little unsure as to whether or not we’d catch anything. We did see a pod of dolphins swim right next to the boat and that was awesome, as I love dolphins!! About an hour and a half before our scheduled ending time, Aldo put out some live bait. My husband caught something big!! He managed to hook a 6 ft hammerhead shark. It was phenomenal other than it broke the line just as he got it to the boat so we didn’t get any type of pictures. We thought we were pretty much done and we were getting way too much sun, so we decided to head in. Aldo asked if it was okay to keep the lines out as we went in. Of course we said yes and I’m glad we did. We got a small tuna on the line which was perfect for me to reel in. While I would have loved my husband to have caught something picture worthy, this is not an experience we will ever forget. I would definitely booking with Cabo Mahi Mahi again!!!

I did a tour with another company one day before, and the difference was like night and day.
Instead of trolling aimlessly, he headed full speed to a spot he thought would deliver, and just ten minutes after we arrived, we could see big schools of Jacks. But we were there for Roosterfish. So we brought out two live mullets and waited until we saw a Rooster chasing my live bait. It was awesome because I immediately knew that José knows what he’s doing. We caught it and then tried for another Rooster, but I said, ‘Let’s go trolling for Marlin.’ While changing the lures, we caught a Mahi Mahi. After that, we trolled for Marlin, and one big one even followed our baits but sadly didn’t bite (that’s fishing).
All in all, it was a perfect day.

All I wanted to catch was a rooster fish while I was in Cabo. My first trip was unsuccessful this week with another boat. So I book this trip to give it another shot. Fifteen minutes into the trip we had released 3 roosters already. We decided to go off shore for other fish. Let me tell you it wasn’t a calm day with 5-6 ft swell or bigger. This boat is only 23’ but the captain was excellent at navigating the waves with this little boat. We went over 10 miles off site with no success and then the captain found out the tuna were 16 miles of sure.We took off right away and within 10 minutes of being where the tuna were we have 5 rods go off at once. I’m the next hour we land 6 tuna plus one that got shared. To finish off the day we trolled back to shore and landed a 5 1/2 ft wahoo on the way back. Best captain I ever had and was only there for us to have the best experience possible.

Our family of 3 had a great experience with Caesar as our captain. You want to book your trip thru Cabo Mahi Mahi and ask for Caesar! Whatever we asked, he delivered. My son had his heart set on catching Rooster fish, and we were put on them immediately! After we ran out of live bait (you get 10 live bait fish for $40, so you go thru them FAST) I would suggest buying more live bait then we did…… Buy all the bait you want before you leave the marina…. Then we were trolling and brought in a nice Mahi Mahi! Caesar delivered us straight to the restaurant that cooked and prepared it for us. Overall we had a great experience and would book with Caesar again. 🎣

I booked a trip to cabo on my 29th birthday solely to party and catch a marlin. I fish, but the most I’ve caught is a few crappie and a catfish or two in Texas.
Jose was my captain and he was great. He offered tips when he saw I needed them and was DETERMINED to help me catch my Marlin. I caught two roosters within the first hour! The first one was small and the second was worth bragging about. I had more love bait but I was satisfied, so we moved on to search for marlin. It was slow for a while but I spotted a marlin and Jose jumped into action! We tracked it down and threw some bait at it but it didn’t bite.. then it got slow for a while. I forgot my Dramamine, so I got sea sick. Me and Jose found some smooth waters, slowed the boat down, and had a beer which allowed me to feel better. He was really encouraging! Shortly after I finished my beer, we got a bite on a marlin! Long story short… mission accomplished!
