Would highly recommend using this charter. The value of the trip was a huge highlight. Captain was very friendly and wasted no time getting lines in the water(only about 10 minutes). Once the lines were in the water it only took about 30 minutes to get the first fish on, unfortunately it was lost right at the boat but that was all on me as someone new to sportfishing. Luckily later in the trip I was able to get a trophy mahi mahi in the boat. I enjoyed the personalized trip too, the captain asked what I wanted to fish for and thats what we targeted. If Im ever back in Cabo this will be the company I use.
Cesar was our guide on a boat that from first look isn't anything to write home about. It's been modified for exactly what we experienced, however, which was an incredible hunting marlin. In the first 10 minutes of setting our lines, we had our first bite. Cesar persevered through rough conditions the rest of the day to land exactly what we were after just 30 minutes before our trip was supposed to end. Book with him if you want a guide that never gives up, enjoys the challenge of changing conditions, and gives you the best shot at landing what you're after.

We got to the marina at our assigned time. We opted to pay a little extra and go on the bigger boat. I was glad we did as being my first time in the ocean like that, I was a little nervous. The smaller boat would have been fine, but I did like the bigger one. Aldo was our Captain and he was awesome! My husband caught a skipjack, I believe, right off the get go. Then it died right off. We were becoming a little unsure as to whether or not we'd catch anything. We did see a pod of dolphins swim right next to the boat and that was awesome, as I love dolphins!! About an hour and a half before our scheduled ending time, Aldo put out some live bait. My husband caught something big!! He managed to hook a 6 ft hammerhead shark. It was phenomenal other than it broke the line just as he got it to the boat so we didn't get any type of pictures. We thought we were pretty much done and we were getting way too much sun, so we decided to head in. Aldo asked if it was okay to keep the lines out as we went in. Of course we said yes and I'm glad we did. We got a small tuna on the line which was perfect for me to reel in. While I would have loved my husband to have caught something picture worthy, this is not an experience we will ever forget. I would definitely booking with Cabo Mahi Mahi again!!!

I did a tour with another company one day before, and the difference was like night and day. Instead of trolling aimlessly, he headed full speed to a spot he thought would deliver, and just ten minutes after we arrived, we could see big schools of Jacks. But we were there for Roosterfish. So we brought out two live mullets and waited until we saw a Rooster chasing my live bait. It was awesome because I immediately knew that José knows what he's doing. We caught it and then tried for another Rooster, but I said, 'Let's go trolling for Marlin.' While changing the lures, we caught a Mahi Mahi. After that, we trolled for Marlin, and one big one even followed our baits but sadly didn't bite (that's fishing). All in all, it was a perfect day.
Absolutely great day out! We did a 5 hour afternoon trip and it was beautiful weather. The skipper, Alvaro really knows his stuff. It was very exiting to see when the schools come around and the marlin are there. A few boats get thrrr to through the lures or live bait in. We got one on and it was a massive battle the marlin just keep taking line, I kept going and as time went on the fish began to tire and we got it up on boat. His guess was it's about a 140 pound marlin. I was so stoked! Big moment in my life. Thank you Cabo mahi mahi for a great experience. Cheers Aussie Tim
