Trip was good despite fishing being slow. We were in the tarpon the whole time, and we had one bite that didn’t stick. The other boats we were in touch with did about the same. Captain Miguel was a pleasure to fish with. He’s a good fisherman, and you can tell he’s excited to be out there and work hard to get on the fish. I will definitely book with backwater and Captain Miguel again.

Wanted to hit a quick fishing trip on my brother’s wedding day and had a great time with Capt. Abi took great care of us and we caught a huge tarpon. Will do it again and longer. Definitely book a trip.

Our Captain, Adi(sp) was amazing!! He made the trip for us!! He was so personable and very engaging!! He knows his s);&!! Tarpon was bucket list for us and he made it happen!!  Couldn’t ask for more!!

We caught our first tarpon and they were huge!  We went in the night tarpon trip and had the best time with our captain. He knew what he was doing and made it happen. He went above and beyond for us because he knew this was my #1 bucket fish list.  He was very friendly and knew a lot about PR and the area.  We will be back!

We booked a 1/2 day trip as “cherry on top” type of thing for my son as while we visited Puerto Rico in celebration of my son’s graduation. Mateo was our captain and he was great! Great conversation. Very informative. We had a hard time catching anything, but thanks to Mateo’s insistence, he moved us until we finally got a bite. We finally beat the odds and got two bites quickly once we were well positioned. We will back again.
