The crew was friendly from the start and was ready to lend a hand as soon as you reeled in your fish. Overall it was a great experience. Got to tag a Yellow Tail to help with the conservation of our fishing resources.

The trip started on the wrong foot when a woman named โAngelaโ started barking orders at people awaiting to sign in for the trip. She made a speech of self-importance in front of everyone declaring how she was a contractor and the head of this charter, and stated that everyone had to wear a mask outside. She screamed in everyoneโs faces, and then yelled that she was going to โturn off the boatโ when someone asked her why we had to wear masks on the open water while other fishing charters and tour boat services in the area did not require this. She was hot-headed and unprofessional. During the trip, this โAngelaโ was supposed to be inside the boat selling food and drinks, but instead she spent most of the trip fishing and taking spots of those who paid for the trip. A friend of hers had no mask on and Angela didnโt scream in his face. In addition, the boat was unsanitary. The sink in the washroom did not work and there was no hand towels or alcohol wipes. A few people puked throughout the trip due to being seasick and the puke was left all over the inside cabin and deck. Also, people hardly caught any fish.

Iโm sorry you and Angela got off on the wrong foot. Since I was there and witnessed the interaction between the crew & customers I can report that there was NO yelling in anyoneโs face. The mask regulation was set forth by a Presidential Executive Order and trust me,ย NO one is happy about it.ย So yes, even on the OPEN water masks are still required. The orders from the USCG are to return to port if someone doesnโt comply with the requirements. Angela is also a licensed USCG Captain- not just a cook onboard. The reason she explains that she is an independent contractor is for the very reason you didnโt approve of her fishing while working. After the explosive vomit situation the galley/cabin was closed until the proper disinfectant was available. Due to Covid no one is cleaning up vomit without protective gear.

This Order requires conveyance operators to use best efforts to ensure that any person on the conveyance wears a mask when boarding, disembarking, and for the duration of travel.
