This was our first time fishing out of Brownsville. It is link cod season and Matt took us to Whidbey Island to fish. His equipment was excellent. His manner was great and we caught our limit. My 90 year-old mother caught the biggest fish which was above the slot limit and we had to put it back. It was a very pleasant trip and we will definitely go with Matt again

The captain was great even though we didn’t catch any of the targeted species( but that’s why they call it fishing) still was able to catch some really cool looking rock bass and flounder and have a really enjoyable time with my son thank you for a great day on the water.

I have been on a lot of charters and most of them get way too excited and can lose their head when the action heats up. Our captain was calm and friendly the whole trip. Very nice clean boat with top notch reels and poles.

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Messin’ Around charter! From the time the first lures were cast, we had fish on the line within seconds. We caught so many fish that we lost count. We set out to just fish without worrying about whether we took anything back or not and had so much fun this way. The fish were abundant, captain was skilled, nice & a great host. Matt is knowledgeable and experienced and also a nice chill guy. Not overly peppy and chatty but also happy to make conversation with us when we wanted to. He got us to the fish, his fishing gear was in good condition and easy to use, and he worked the bait and lures throughout the trip to improve our chances. Left and returned on time, expertly filleted the salmon for us. We would recommend this charter.
