Overall, we had a great experience. Captain Hollywood is quite the character, but he knows exactly what he is doing with decades of experience in the waters around Cabo. We came home with a nice Dorado and hooked up a few Bolitos for bait.
The main cons of the trip were:
1) The bathroom is just going over the edge of the boat, not a real bathroom.
2) Captain Hollywood has a very colorful sailor’s vocabulary.
3) It may be a center console, but it is still just a panga. It is not very stable, and if you tend to get sea sick I would recommend finding a bigger boat.
The Pros:
1) You actually learn how to fish for yourself, you hook the bait, you set the trolling distance, you hook the fish and reel it all the way in. Lots of other fishing services just bring you along as a passenger and do all the work for you.
2) Captain Hollywood keeps the boat extremely clean and knows how to treat every fish as you bring it in to keep the meat pristine for your whole voyage.

Overall, I would highly recommend Daliken to anyone who wants a real fishing experience over a simple ride along. For the price of the trip, the quality is unmatched! Thank you Hollywood and Daliken!

My daughter and I just had the best fishing experience of our lives! Oscar was a great captain, and we Just experienced more then we could’ve ever dreamed out of a fishing trip: a humpback whale and it’s baby surfaced right next to us, my daughter almost touched a dolphin as a bunch of them swam with our boat, a seal leapt out of the water and made eye contact with my daughter, a manta ray flew out of the water four times… oh, and we caught two king mackerel! It was truly the perfect fishing day!

Caught almost 20 fish and 5 different species. One of the best fishing trips my husband and I have been on!! Captain made it fun also!

Daliken sportfishing in san José del Cabo Mexico is top notch!!! Was very simple to set my reservation for a 6 hour trip. The owner was very easy to communicate with and his whole staff is very professional. I highly recommend anyone looking to go out on the waters for a epic day!!! Thanks again I will definitely be back next year.

Very disappointing experience.

We came on our honeymoon as an experience more for my husband than anything and left feeling sorely disappointed and honestly pretty frustrated.

We were asked to pay ton more upfront than is what was on the website and booking (fishingbooker.com) $180 was she asked to pay $270. ($30 of which was bait….).

We were out on a boat originally with 6 others which was not a big deal, boat was plenty big and we booked a boat share, then before leaving the marina just my husband and I were moved to a glorified dinghy with a motor on it. It’ wasn’t even a boat listed on their website. Our captain was also not listed on the website; the boat itself was extremely run down and dirty. Screws were on the ground. We left the marina with either instruments that were not working OR no gas…. This makes more sense the motor stopped 4 times while we were out. The canopy was not up despite it being blaring sunny out.

We got zero communication from our caption until the last 10 minutes of the trip where he just said “No Fish let’s go”

We boated in circles in one spot for 4 hours, captain did not try anything new or different in terms of bate, lures, or areas. Captain made no attempt to communicate/ we don’t speak Spanish so we know that’s a barrier but every other excursion we have been on they have either attempted it or even just tried to work out basic communication with hands etc.

Despite “oh we always catch big fish here, everyone gets fish, fish are no problem”- we did not even get a single bite. For a company that boasts their near guarantee of getting fish we were expecting at least SOME direction/support/thinking from our captain.

So, unless you are a large group I would not recommend booking here it was a major downer on our trip and one of the activities we were looking forward to the most!

This was 100000% Daliken Sportfishing. Our booking confirmation shows this from fishing **hidden content**. When we checked in this morning we explicitly asked if we were checking in for Daliken. And the transaction on my bank account shows Felipe- which is the person we were told in email we would be checking in with. The boat we were ORIGINALLY on and the the captains of THAT boat did match their website for boat and captains. Not the one we were kicked off onto. After looking at other lower reviews it seems that this experience and lack of accountability from the Business is exactly what you can expect - blaming the client for “having the wrong business” or discounting negative reviews.
