Ben is a top notch professional and provided an excellent trip!ย When conditions were not ideal, Ben quickly adapted his original plan to get us on the fish.ย His expertise and passion for angling is clear, while being a highly skilled and safe captain.ย He strikes the perfect balance of leading the trip, teaching a little about the area, fish, and technique, while providing hand-on-assistance and coaching.ย The entire experience (from pre-trip communication to cleaning our catch) was so much fun for my family and me.ย The boat was very clean, safe, had plenty of room, and is surprisingly quiet considering how much horsepower is available! Had a great time with Captain Ben. Weather came up and we couldnโt do all the fishing we wanted but he did a great job getting me on some Spanish mackerel photo doesnโt do the justice of the 35 smalls we caught.ย It made it a fun trip and will be doing it again.
WE had a BLAST, we trolled and caught plenty of Mackerel, we lost our minds seeing the dolphins and huge groups of sting rays.ย I was planning my second trip during my first trip.ย Captain Ben, was super cool, he talked to us the whole time, was very professional and welcoming.ย I will recommend anyone who wants a great fishing trip,ย try southern run first, they truly set the bar.
Had a fantastic day on the water with Ben, caught our limit of wahoo by noon and continued to catch and release them well into the day. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and was more than happy to teach our family how to rig baits. He was very patient with our two young kids and made sure they were engaged and entertained the entire time. We cannot say enough good things about Ben and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. We are already looking forward to booking him the next time we are in Wrightsville Beach.

Beautiful day off shore. Hooked into plenty of good size Spanish. Even nabbed a king. Did some bottom fishing for bass as well.
