My boyfriend and I went out with captain Johnny this morning and I just couldn’t wait to write a review it was that great! I want to preface by saying that I personally am not a fisherman, and it is my boyfriend who wanted to go on a fishing trip during our time here in Cabo. I was originally slightly dreading the trip, not quite knowing what to expect, but I must say Johnny made the trip so enjoyable for the both of us! Both my boyfriend and I will certainly come back and fish again with Johnny every time we are in Cabo.

Even though it is not prime fishing season, Johnny was determined to have us catch some fish. His positive attitude made the whole day possible. We opted for the morning half day trip, and by around 8:30 we were hooked on a huge mahi mahi! My boyfriend reeled it in and Johnny hooked it once it was close enough to the boat. He then took a moment to say thank you to the fish for its life, something that I thought to be incredibly kind. Then we were off on the hunt for our next catch! By 10:00 we were thrilled to hook a huge marlin, and we put up a good fight for about 30 minutes however it ended up getting away. You win some and you lose some, right! Anyways, just the experience of having a marlin on the line was thrilling enough, and my boyfriend and I were both so pleased with the entire experience. Johnny was nothing but encouraging the entire time and set such a positive vibe all day long. On the way back into the marina we were greeted by a curious little sea lion which was just the cherry on top of the whole day.

Long story short we 1000% recommend Johnny and Blue Sea Sport Fishing. Our day with Johnny was one we will remember forever and we will definitely be coming back!

Jonny met us at the boat at 6am. He was very nice and put us with captain Ceasar. The captain took us out for 5 hours. The fishing was a little slow but i caught a 100 pound maiko shark. Cesar worked very hard to hook up with a marlin. We had a couple of good bite’s but we were not able to catch anything good other than the shark.
When we got back to the dock I exited the boat and several minutes later I realized I left my wallet on the boat. Captain Caesar came walking down the dock with my wallet in his hand and returned it to me. I was very impressed that he was honest enough to return it to me. That kind gesture saved my trip. Thank you to Captain Ceasar. 👍🎉

Best fishing experience I’ve had in Cabo. Constantly on the roosters, think we raised 10+ , also got some fun fighting jacks right outside the marina. No sierra mackerel (soanish mackerel for us east coast guys) so played catch and release all morning.  DEF go in the morning afternoon is dead.

Especially in March when marlin / dorado is 50/50% chances, book this. Even without speaking Spanish you will be able to interact with Cesar who knows his stuff. Probably not for a small family trip though - more for a serious angler

Just be aware the online licenses don’t always download on your phone and bait isn’t included (ballyhoo bought from a bait boat on the walk out). I wanted to leave a better tip but spend $20 on license and $20 on bait so had to leave the captain a smaller tip than I wanted to.

The overall communication from the time of booking right up to the time of the trip was excellent.  We were met at the arranged spot on time and Johnny helped us get our licenses and some bait quickly.  We were escorted to the boat and introduced to Captain Ceasar and we were off the dock within minutes.  Once we got out on the water we had lines in quickly and in five minutes we hooked a nice
mahi mahi.  My son reeled it in and it was a very memorable first time catch for him!  The rest of the trip was slow because it was a full moon the night before but we had fun and ended up following around some whales at a safe distance to get some good photos and videos.  Panga was a very affordable trip
for two people and I will definitely book again with this company!

Cesar was a great captain. Definitely would rebook with Cesar.
