We had a nice morning fishing the Toccoa with Captain Joe. Learned a lot about trout fishing that I would have never known otherwise. This was my first time fishing with a guide. When you’re with someone that clearly knows what they are talking about it makes all the difference. We went home with eight nice trout and many more that we released. Go with someone that knows what they are doing! You won’t regret it.

Fishing was a little slow when we hit it, but the captain put us in good position and was obviously very knowledgeable about the water and surrounding areas.  Did all of the things that you would expect from a fishing assistance perspective.  Fetching stuck lures, retying and re-rigging, etc.  Good conversation but not overly talkative.  All in all a good trip.  Will do it again

Colby is an experienced guide who knows his way around the river. He knows the spots where the fish were and areas where the river was deep or shallow. It was an enjoyable trip with an excellent guide and we will definitely be back!

Had a great morning with Colby and caught a few nice trout, which we took home and had for dinner. Beautiful and relaxing morning on the water. My dad fly fished and I used a spinner and we both caught fish, so it was a nice day.

Capt Joe put me on a nice limit of rainbows despite less than optimal conditions of cold weather and fickle river flow. Joe was a wealth of info for my first time trip to North Ga on the Taccoa River and quite the instructor for a novice fly angler.
