We had a great time with Capt Ryan. Conditions weren’t the best but he managed to keep the poles bent all trip with redfish and trout. He worked hard and tried a half dozen different spots and had live bait and cut bait. Was well prepared and great with the kids. Highly recommended.

Captain Ryan had his work cut out for him due to some rougher weather coming in. He kept after it to keep us on fish. We had a much better day than the other charters that were in the same area. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience and will use this guide for our next trip.

Myself and three friends fished on a Saturday morning with Captain Ryan and although the day was choppy we decided to go on his advice and hit some structure in the intercoastal waterway. We caught a fair amount of varied species of fish and had a great time. Although the fishing could’ve been better, that was certainly not Ryan‘s fault and he did his best to put us on as many fish as possible. I would highly recommend him because he was very conversational when needed and low-key.  He is not one of these old crotchety guys that you see from time to time that still guide and should’ve hung it up years ago. I think he would be a great guide also with anybody that has younger children because he was very patient and I didn’t hear him use any foul language.  I would highly recommend this guide and I’ll be booking him in the future for my own family as well as another guy’s trip.

What a fantastic time on the water!!!!!  Captain Ryan was very experienced and knowledgeable about the area.  We caught a nice bill redfish within 10 minutes of boarding the boat.  Captain Ryan then drove us to another fishing spot where all caught multiple Spanish mackerel.  Our two young children were never board and had no issues reeling in multiple species of fish.  Captain Ryan was very attentive to the children and always catered to them before the adults.  Captain Ryan also made sure that everyone had bait on their hooks at all times.  I cannot say enough good things about this charter and Captain Ryan!  We will definitely book another charter next season!

We had a great time fishing with Captain Ryan today.  He went above and beyond getting us to the best spots and helping us catch some fish today.  We had a bit of wind and chop, but he managed to keep us mostly dry and fishing as much as possible.  Initially, we kept catching catfish, but the captain persisted until we started catching the trout we were after. 
Captain Ryan is great with kids and newer fishers and quickly handles all the baiting, casting, and changing out rods as needed.  He had all of our baits and the lines back in the water faster than I’ve ever baited a single hook. We got lines tangled a couple times, and he had them straightened out right away.  He can also cast on a dime, which resulted in numerous strikes.
Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend 30A Shallow Water Guide Service.
