We spent two days with Captain Ryan and Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. We caught a bunch of fish both days. The captain has a great boat and great equipment. He was also very helpful with my boys who came along and fished.  Highly recommend him.

First time out using a guide and first time fishing in the Adirondacks.  This was also the first real fishing trip for my youngest son. Ryan was wonderful from the start, quietly managing everything and providing helpful advice when needed but stepping back when we were making progress.  We caught around 10 bass, four quite nice sizes. This is the third time that I have made a trip with Ryan and each trip has been excellent! I have been fishing for about 70 yrs and still learned new techniques from Ryan each time. Most importantly Ryan is very personable and will give you a hand with your gear if you need it.  Ryan “goes the extra mile.”  I have fished up and down the east coast, fresh and salt, and highly recommend Ryan!

We had a fantastic morning trip with Brett.  He was the man.  Not only was he friendly and informative, and made my son and I feel very welcome, he knows exactly what he is doing and where to go.  We could tell from the first cast that we were in expert hands!  We ended up landing 4 or 5 really big Laketrout.  Amazing!
