We ended up with a PM trip on fairly rough seas but Captain Tromp put us on the fish within the first 30 minutes. We hooked up three times and landed two. 1 Big Wahoo and a small Bonita. It was great and the first mate was hustling the whole time checking lines, retying new baits. This crew definitely knows what theyโre doing. The Dorothy has been fishing these waters for decades, he knows where to go. Great time. Would definitely go again!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Roberto and Kayle.
For starters this was our first time ever going fishing on the ocean ( weโre both experienced freshwater anglers). We got to the dock a little early and greeted by the crew and once they were ready we were off. Captain Roberto and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and well experienced in there trade. The deckhands explained each rod and rigging setup, what we could most likely catch on them, and at what areas of water we were most likely to catch fish in. Even though the sea was rough we still managed to bring in 10 bonitos on a 4 hour trip, more than what we were expecting. When we got back to the dock Captain Roberto apologized that we didnโt get any bigger fish which I told him didnโt matter because we didnโt come back empty handed and had a great time regardless. The crew even filleted our bonito and brought us to Kalins to have it cooked ( highly recommend it blackened). Overall the trip was great, the crew was friendly and enthusiastic and I canโt recommend them enough.

Hi. Thank you so much. Roberto, Luis and Gregory.
We were excited for a day of fishing and had read up on the great reviews for Roberto and his team. Dorothy was a well-equipped boat with comfy seating and friendly crew. We had a very slow start catching only one small bonito on the way out. We anticipated sailing to a spot and stopping to fish but never really stopped moving around the entire trip. Nomar, the assistant, set up all the bait and poles while we watched. There was not much for us to do other than wait. The ride away from shore was smooth but the winds picked up and it started to rain for a bit making the water very choppy. We all felt a bit queasy though none of us thankfully got sick. We did see several dolphins jumping through the waves. Just when we were ready to call it quits, there was a big tug on one of the rods. We caught a 23lb wahoo which required a lot of brute strength and help from Roberto and Nomar to reel in. While we all had felt tired and sick moments ago, the triumph of catching this big fish made the entire trip worth it! Once we docked again, Roberto filleted the wahoo and bonito for us and gave us as much as we wanted to take home. We really enjoyed the overall experience, though it was less hands-on than we expected.ย We ended up cooking 3 meals with the fish we took home and still had leftovers after that! Thank you Roberto and Nomar for a great day!

Hi, thank you guys. Take care. Roberto and Nomar.
We had the pleasure of embarking on a fishing trip with Dorothy Fishing Charters recently, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Accompanied by our family and a friend, we set out with high hopes, and the captain and his assistant went above and beyond to ensure we had a successful catch. Our adventure began with the thrill of a barracuda biting our line, though the waters were relatively quiet afterward. The captain expertly navigated us to a different spot where we successfully caught four more barracudas. Despite the choppy waters, our children enjoyed the experience, showing little concern for the waves. As we headed back, we managed to catch one more barracuda, and the highlight of our trip came when we reeled in a stunning wahoo. In just four hours, we had an impressive haul. The crew kindly allowed us to take some of our catch home, and we enjoyed a delicious barracuda lunch the following day. The memorable experience left a lasting impression on us. Our children had such an incredible time that theyโve already added another fishing trip with Dorothy to their wishlist for our next Aruba vacation. We highly recommend this charter for anyone seeking an unforgettable fishing adventure.

Thank you so much. Happy New Year. Roberto, Rudolf and Luis.
Headed out right on Time. Captain Rudolph and First Mate Gregory, who were both very knowledgeable and Gregory appeared to be quite adept at setting up the rigs. Not much action for the first couple hours so they headed out deep to a buoy about 6 miles offshore, and they traded a line with live bait with some lures, and as soon as we rounded the buoy we had a line with two small black fin tuna which my youngest son reeled in. Then another pass and we landed a Bonito which my oldest reeled in. Almost had another on the deep line but he got off the hook, would have been a big one, captain thought likely a Wahoo. Oh well, next time. Had a dolphin accompany us and play in the wake and a bunch of Frigatebirds looking for a snack. Captain Rudy filleted the fish for us and I tenderized them with lemon/herbs/spices/olive oil before searing/grilling them for a wonderful dinner. Great intro for us to deep sea fishing!
